Who Is Steve- The Louisville Ice Man

Native of Kentucky and proud father of four kids, I opened Louisville Ice Sculptures in June of 1993.

I wanted a way to capture my creativity and play with a medium that was beautiful and unforgiving. I was introduced to this art form in a short one day class while attending culinary school.

That day I uncovered a hidden talent and passion. Working from a simple block of ice, thinking of the design I needed to create was challenging and rewarding as it took shape into a 3D image.

I decided to not limit my passion to foods, but making the tables, event functions and weddings beautiful and memorable.

Why I Enjoy Creating Ice Sculptures

Wedding ice sculptures are the biggest part of what I do. With my over 20years of experience, I have found that the most enjoyable part is working with a bride to make her thoughts and descriptions come to life.

Working closely with the bride allows me to custom design an ice sculpture that will create a truly unique experience for her and her wedding. I have worked with brides to create a multitude of wonderful wedding ice sculptures.

From romantic ice vases in which arrangements can be shown off, hearts with names or photos, doves which look like they are ready to fly off to the heavens and even graceful swans, every custom piece is skillfully craved to create the vision needed to take a wedding to the height of luxury.
